Xbox One Controller to be Windows Compatible Very Soon
Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb has announced on NeoGAF earlier this week that windows drivers for the Xbox One wireless controller will be available "soon, Very Soon".
Microsoft has always said it intended to make the controller windows compatible and not release a PC only version but the recent announcement is the firsdt time we have had anything close to a timeframe other than "at some point in 2014".
On Xbox 360, the wired controller was always compatible with PCs. Players who wanted to use a wireless Xbox 360 controller on their computers had to purchase a separate wireless receiver, which wasn't released until June 2006, a year after the release of the console itself.
