Xbox Series X Revealed at The Game Awards 2019

The Game Awards 2019 gave us a seemingly endless amount of announcements and reveals. Not the least of which came in Microsoft's reveal of its Xbox Series X, the official name for Project Scarlett.

The 4K trailer (which can be viewed above) shows off an unusual vertical console design and a brief appearance from Halo's Master Chief, assuring players that the Xbox mascot is still close to the company's heart.

The trailer gives little else in the way of specifics, although the console itself seems to be about as tall as two disc widths and wide as one disc width (judging by the disc slot on the console). This, of course, is just an estimate however.

The first Xbox Series X game was also announced at The Game Awards 2019: Hellblade 2: Senua's Saga gave players an early look at the graphical fidelity allowed by the next generation of consoles.

The Xbox Series X will release towards the end of 2020.
