Xin Zhao Receives Official Visual Update Announcement in League of Legends — Legacy Skin Unvaulting Dates

Xin Zhao has been the protagonist of this League of Legends season, but players have noticed a serious lack of interaction with the champion game-wise. While he's appeared throughout the narrative and given players the opportunity of witnessing his return to Ionia, a lot of mains were wondering if that was it for him.

Riot Games had been relatively silent about updates to him for a while, but the team has officially announced more information: he is receiving a visual update rather than a full gameplay one. Similar to LeBlanc's earlier in Season 1: Welcome to Noxus, Xin Zhao is receiving an overhaul for all things visuals: model and abilities.

As one of the most famous jungle champions in the game, his gameplay style isn't being touched on, but his looks are definitely getting an overhaul, and this is also true for his skins, giving them a bit of a boost to make them look up to snuff. As is customary for League of Legends when champions get visual updates, the skins will be receiving an upgrade and the legacy ones will be unvaulted temporarily, giving you the opportunity to purchase them.

The four legacies will be available for a limited time, spanning patches 25.17 (on the 27th of August 2025) and 25.18 (on the 10th of September), after which point, the skins will go back into the vault. It's worth noting that Commando Xin Zhao and Imperial Xin Zhao will both be increased from 520 RP to 750 RP.

Xin Zhao's visual update will be live on Patch 25.17 on the 27th of August 2025.
