Yakuza Kiwami 2 Releases This Year for the West

SEGA have announced recently that the Yakuza 2 remaster, released in December across Japan, will be coming to the West at the end of August.

Kiwami 2 features fully recreated visuals using the Dragon Engine, most recently seen in Yakuza 6. They have re-recorded all of the voice acting too, but SEGA promises that it has tried to keep the localisation as true to the original Japanese script as possible - it has altered the script slightly for Western audiences.

It'll also include Goro Majima as a playable character, getting his own scenario called "The Truth of Goro Majima". This will explain how Majima left the Tojo clan, and the events that ensued.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 will be releasing on August 28th, exclusively for PlayStation 4. Check out the trailer above.
