Doritos Crash Course Review

If you like Total Wipeout, then you will absolutely love this game! Running, ducking, sprinting, and jumping, all classic game moves but when they are put into this game, it's the most fun I have had in ages! These types of games don't appeal to everyone but I'll tell you this game is a one of a kind!

Doritos Crash Course

Doritos Crash Course is a amalgamation of the Total Wipeout and Ninja Warrior TV series' combined. You play as your Xbox live avatar fighting his/her way through different and challenging assault courses. You (well, your Avatar) will run, jump, and slide through a total of fifteen stages, and you get a place depending on the time you finished in.

The game takes place in three stages, ‘USA' which consist of five courses which help show the basics of how to play, then comes ‘Europe,' this also holds five courses, these a little more challenging than the last, something that can catch out the unaware player. As in all games there has to be a challenging stage and this one is ‘Japan', there is no simple sprint and jump here, these courses take precision and a cool head.

For an arcade game the graphics and audio are actually not bad, although the constant crowd cheering does get on your nerves after a while, the graphics are exactly you would imagine from an avatar game, but this game doesn't stray too far onto the cartoon side which is a plus.

The thing that really gave me a lot of fun was the online sections. You are able to run through every stage and course with up to four other members, who show up as floating cardboard cut-outs which is a little disappointing but being able to play with your mates and run through the course in one huge yelling frenzy just adds the cherry to this cake of a game. Doritos Crash Course online hasn't really picked up yet so its hard to even find people in the matchmaking side, so I suggest just party up with a few mates as it can be a lot of fun!

Doritos Crash Course

Of course every one who gets this game is going to be going for gold, but that's the fun of it with the leader boards you and you friends can compete to get the best time possible. Since the game promotes competition and constantly beating your score, this may not be for everyone, I personally love it, but you have to be weary on your high scores because your friends are always looking to beat it!

Now comes the bombshell, this game is free! Yes you heard correctly, free! I would be almost to happy to pay for a game like this, and I'm not ashamed to say it has been the most fun I have had in a long time.
