Project CARS delayed to the starting grid
Project CARS, the upcoming racer from British developers Slightly Mad Studios, has had another delay to it's release date, which will now ship on the second of April instead.
Bandai Namco released this statement:
The slight shift of the release date is due to final adjustments in the game, that are required to provide to the fans with the best gaming experience they could have.
Ian Bell, Head of Studio at Slightly Mad Studios had the following to say:
Moving a release date was not an easy decision to make, as we know our fans are eager to get their hands-on on Project CARS
But we know that these extra days will allow us to provide the best game experience that our fans deserve. We assure you the wait will be worth it when the game does arrive early April.

This follows the initial delay of the game from late 2014, to March 2015. A delay which has been cited as to avoid releasing at the same time as some other racing titles, however, it also gave the studio some extra time with which to polish the game. As mentioned in our hands-on preview of Project CARS, the game still required a fair bit of polish based on the build we played.
That said, given last years haze of titles that were rushed to release, it's refreshing to see a developer say "Hold up, it's not going out to shelves like this" and taking control of their game.
