A Most Rusty Year

A Most Rusty Year

This time last year, Rust developer Garry Newman gave a frank an honest update on what he and his team had done in 2014. That went down so well that he has decided to repeat this in 2015. In order to do so, he has taken to his game's official website to give some details on how the title, currently in Early Access, is progressing. Be aware he uses some colourful language to describe it.

In his detailed breakdown of the state of play, he covers a number of things he's proud of having brought to the game this year, including Bullet Penetration, Gibbing, Ambient Sound, and Beartraps. He also details just how impressive the jump in player numbers has been (average player numbers has more than doubled this year)

Newman also gave some insight into what he has learnt from the ongoing development, including such gems as "Stop reading Reddit!". He also mentions that he shouldn't give too many second chances to people not doing their jobs, suggesting that he's has some trouble with staff slacking off in the process of creating the game.
