All Games Released in the Humble Games Showcase

Humble Games is starting to become quite a prominent and successful publisher; with only three years in the industry, the publisher has already managed to be part of Metacritic's top 10 publishers for two years! We're always looking forward to more games from Humble Games, and so we were at the edge of our seat in anticipation for everything that would be announced!

With all that in mind, here is everything that was shown off in Humble Games' 2023 event!

Wizard of Legend II

The Wizard of Legend franchise is expanding with a brand-new entry with Wizard of Legend II! This new entry features a brand-new developer — the brilliant minds behind one of my all-time favourite roguelites, Children of Morta — and new 3D graphics. Admittedly, I'll miss the pixel art, but I'm excited to see all of the spells with new graphical fidelity.

I haven't had the pleasure of trying Wizard of Legend (please don't hate me; it's on the list!), but I cannot wait for Wizard of Legend II, especially as I have full faith in the new developer, Dead Mage! And before you panic: Contingent99 is still involved in the sequel.

#BLUD

Strangely enough, vampires are starting to become a recurring theme for me. From Redfall, to V Rising, and even — somehow — Vampyr, I've just been playing a lot of games involving vampires, and it seems like my curse (or blessing?) continues with #BLUD!

Take control of a teenager with an ancient bloodline to hunt vampires and save the world, all the while balancing school work and friendships. Just, you know, an average day in a teenage girl's life! More interesting than the premise — because who doesn't want to stake vampires with pencils? — is the game's graphics, with a cartooney art style that will have you wondering if you somehow managed to boot up a game about The Grim Adventures of Bill & Mandy.

#BLUD comes out sometime in 2024!

Breeze in the Clouds

I can't tell you what got me most excited when I saw the sneak peek for Breeze in the Clouds — the adorable corgi, the hand-drawn art, or the charming story and gameplay! It was love at first sight for me.

In this upcoming game by Stormy Nights Interactive, you'll play as a lil corgi who gets torn away from his world into a new one called Tropolis. In this new environment, he'll need to use his new-found weather powers to fight back pollution and make his way back to his loving home and best friend, Diana.

Get ready to meet an adorable cast of fluffy characters, beat up enemies by using all sorts of creative weather powers — such as a tornado attack! — and explore the adorably cartoony Tropolis in Breeze in the Clouds! Whilst we don't know the game's release date, you can follow the game on social media for more information.

Stray Gods: A Roleplaying Musical

I'm not really a fan of musicals — although I've tried, I think the only one I can stand is Encanto, and even that's stretching it (thanks, Bruno). However, I can't help but admit that the Humble Games Showcase quite intrigued me with Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical.

Now, I'm not going to pretend that this is an all-new title that was announced — apparently, it was out there, and I wasn't even aware of it! Taking control of Grace, exploring a world of gods and magic, and changing musical scores sounds like a, surprisingly, intriguing idea. Will I love it? I don't know, but I'm sure as Hell going to try it.

The announcement was actually for the vast cast that is joining, with plenty of recognisable names and faces that I can't wait to see perform. The most exciting part, however, is the release date: the 3rd of August 2023. Only a short time before I get my hands on it!

Supraland Six Inches Under Coming to Consoles

Look, the moment Astray appeared on the showcase, I was ready for Supraland, The Crying Kingdom to be announced, but instead, we got another —Supraland Six Inches Under is coming to all consoles!

Now, this might not be the most intriguing reveal for me — I'm pretty much a PC-only gamer — but I'm happy to see that others will be able to enjoy it! The more people that get to play Supraland, the better; you won't hear me complaining.

Supraland Six Inches Under is out now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S! Perhaps, more excitingly, is the day-one release for the title in Xbox Game Pass!

Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus

I don't think I got five seconds into the trailer of Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus before I was already throwing money at the screen. The gorgeous hand-drawn 2.5D graphics paired with fast-paced fighting really hit the spot for me, especially as a big fan of Hollow Knight and the Japanese aesthetic.

In this charming debut game by Squid Shock Studios, you'll take on the role of the Celestial Blossom Bō as he explores the breathtaking world, masters shapeshifting abilities, and even discovers all sorts of arcane teas to brew and acquire new celestial powers!

If you can't wait to explore this Japanese folklore title set in a mysterious haunted world, keep an eye out for its release on PC in 2024! Don't worry; you're not the only one crying. I also can't believe I have to wait until next year!

Cataclismo

I'm not going to pretend to know what Cataclismo is about — the cinematic trailer does a lot to impress, but the lack of gameplay footage didn't give me a lot of insight into what there is. While we do know that the game is going to be a unique tower defence and real-time strategy amalgamation, there isn't much more that we know.

That said, we do know that Digital Sun, the developer behind Moonlighter and The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story, is going to be developing it with support from Humble Games. I'm a fan of Spanish developers — they tend to have the best humour — and I have liked both of the titles that Digital Sun has released, so only time will tell whether my hate for tower defence games stops here!

Lost Skies

Finally, the Humble Games Showcase ended with the announcement for Lost Skies. This co-op open-world adventure takes players into the skies with up to five other friends to explore floating islands and discover ancient ruins to level up your character and the ship.

Your headquarters, home, and form of transportation will be your highly customisable ship, which you and your friends will use to explore the lands! Truthfully, this was a very exciting ending and title to announce. Heartbreakingly enough, however, is that Lost Skies doesn't have an official release date, but you can be sure I slammed the wishlist button.

Make sure you check out the interview with the developer!
