Angry Birds Spin-off Title First Gaming and Pharmaceutical tie-in

Editor's Note: The astute amongst you will have probably noticed the date on this article already. This April Fools gag was brought to you by GameGrin.com

Rovio has entered into an unlikely agreement with another major brand. The Angry Birds creator has forged a partnership with medical juggernaut Eli Lilly to create a new title set in the universe of the aforementioned avians. The game, which is set to release later this month on Android, iOS, Switch and Windows Mobile, stars the birds as you’ve never seen them before, as they relax in the sunshine and farm crops.

Calm Birds is an Animal Crossing style farming and community simulator, and it sees the birds much less angry than before. The reason for this new-found tranquility is explained as being due to Eli Lilly’s most famous brand: Prozac. This SSRI medication has been used to treat various mental health conditions, including anger issues, for around 40 years now. The company has seen a sharp decline in the use of their brand of Fluoxetine since their patent expired in 2001, meaning that generic medication is now available. They are hoping that the partnership will help revitalise sales of their flagship product
