Animalkind Shares Online Co-op in Steam Next Fest Demo
Uncommon Games has shared its upcoming debut title, Animalkind, at the latest Steam Next Fest. Here, players are able to take on the role of animals who stumbled upon an ancient mech, piloting it and helping a town grow.
This cosy title has players building the town of their dreams by gathering resources, shaping the land, and meeting the cast of characters. Taking on the role of a customisable animal, it offers a chill and colourful experience.
What's interesting about the Next Fest demo, however, is that it announced an element we were previously unaware of — Animalkind will be coming with four-player co-op. The online elements let players build the land together, gather resources, and enjoy the colourful scenery together, and the Next Fest demo lets players playtest this element.
If you're interested in checking it out, the Steam Next Fest demo is available now. Bear in mind that demos for the event are sometimes removed by the time the fest ends, which is on the 2nd of March 2026.
