ArenaNet Announces Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire

ArenaNet is continuing to bring better and expansive content to the world of Guild Wars 2 with their newest expansion: Path of Fire. It’s the second expansion to the long-running MMO is arriving September 22, 2017.

Path of Fire sees players return to the Crystal Desert from the original Guild Wars as well as the northern reaches of Elona, to the lands originally seen in Guild Wars: Nightfall, yet 250 years on. For fans of the original, the new vast regions of Path of Fire will be new to veterans with never before seen region of desert plains, ancient temples and ruins.

The expansion will immerse players in a brand new story, five vast open-world ones which all accessible with the new mounts. Players can also take on nine new elite specialisations.

The mounts unlike other MMOs aren’t merely a speed boost, they are, as described by ArenaNet, a powerful new way to explore the world of Tyria. Players can unlock and train their new mounts with a progression system and master their skills and make them become their ultimate companion as they journey Tyria freely.

The new Elite Specialisations lets level 80 players evolve and customise their professions with a variety of new play styles, weapon choices and traits. It all goes towards giving the player more options and more stand-out unique characters.

Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire will arriving September 22, 2017, but for those who want in now, they can check out an open-world preview weekend from August 11th to the 13th. And will be available to anyone with a live Guild Wars 2 account.

Pre-purchases bonuses are available and any players purchasing Path of Fire will also receive a max-level boost allowing them instantly raise their character to level 80 and have the gold and gear to help get started.
