Armatus Announces Upcoming Steam Next Fest Demo Ahead of 2026 Launch

Counterplay Games Inc and Fictions have shown off a short trailer, showcasing the team's upcoming Armatus.This is a third-person roguelite shooter, where players will take on the role of a supernatural warrior — the last of their order — as they battle their way through Paris in search of the lost gateway to Heaven.

Battling through Paris, players will start off strong, with an arsenal of strong weapons and a melee scythe, and gain further armaments as they progress. Unlock godlike powers, becoming stronger, unlocking more abilities and weapons, as you obliterate everything that stands in your path.

The latest trailer gives us an announcement for the game's upcoming participation in the Steam Next Fest. It's a short, 20-second video where we get to see some of the gunplay and abilities in action, ahead of the announcement for its demo on the 23rd of February 2026.

The title is also set to launch sometime this same year, so this might be the best opportunity to check Armatus out before its full launch.
