Back 4 Blood Announced - Made By Left 4 Dead's Original Development Team
Announced at The Game Awards 2020, Back 4 Blood is a true spiritual successor to Valve’s Left 4 Dead, created by Turtle Rock (formerly Valve South), the original developer of Left 4 Dead. Boasting zombie-shooting co-op action, special infected and a range of weaponry, Back 4 Blood looks to be everything you could want from a Left 4 Dead sequel, including that wicked sense of humour. Check out the gameplay trailer above for a look at the game in action.
It’s easy to see the influence of Valve's iconic co-op shooter, even in this relatively brief gameplay video, but Turtle Rock has clearly implemented an array of improvements since Left 4 Dead 2 in 2009. Improved graphics, smoother gameplay, the ability to aim down sights and more ambitious level design. Are we excited? You bet!
Back 4 Blood is set for release in 2021. Can’t wait? Want to get a taste of the game for yourself? The closed alpha version of the game begins on the 17th December.
