Pearl Abyss' MMORPG adventure Black Desert on Steam is no stranger to entering free-to-keep from its usual price of £8.99. While it's an admittedly massive game, with over 10,000 players at any given time, the entry price can be waived off if gamers are patient enough to do so.

So it is that Black Desert is free again for the second time this year.

The title is currently sitting at Mostly Positive rating on Steam, with 75% of the 59,195 reviews being positive, and as a lot of people have put it: it's a free entry point that'll give you access to the MMORPG goodness, but you'll ahve to bear in mind the underlying cost. The top-rated review by user Mae, with 1,413 hours, calls it a pay-to-win, with paywalls and a lot of grinding to progress.

You can be the judge of Black Desert's worth, as some other MMORPGs, it's a free-to-keep title with no subscription fees to ensure you can keep accessing your content. But be wary of microtransactions ahead, in case you're not a fan of that sort of monetisation practice.
