Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Platforms Confirmed
The next installment of the Call of Duty franchise has finally been confirmed for current and next gen consoles by Activision.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, set to release this fall, will be available on the PC, PlayStation 3 and 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, although with some slight variations--developer Sledgehammer Game will only be handling the next gen (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One) and PC versions. Explaining the decision in a press release, Activision promised that "Sledgehammer Games is able to create an astonishing new, next generation experience."
However, those still using current gen consoles (Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3) "don't have to worry about Activision forgetting them, as Advanced Warfare will be brought to the last generation of consoles as well," although they have yet to announce who will handle the development of those versions.
So far there seem to be no plans for Advanced Warfare to come to the Wii U. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is up for pre-order now and set to release November 9.
