Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Coming to Xbox Backwards Compatibility

Major Nelson, the self-titled "Xbox Guy", has this week announced that Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is now available as an Xbox Backwards Compatible title.

If you've got your old Xbox 360 disc lying in a dusty drawer somewhere, it's time to dig it out and stick it into your Xbox One, where it'll then download the latest version - that is unless, of course, you prefer Infinite Warfare's MW Remastered edition.

If you no longer have the disc (or in fact never had the disc) then it's currently on sale now on the Xbox Marketplace for £16.99 (or £14.99 for those with Gold).

All features remain intact, meaning you can jump into an unchanged multiplayer, and for those with a One X, you might even get some frame rate improvements too, especially when its new performance modes become available.

Call of Duty 4 released 10 and a bit years ago in 2007, and is still widely regarded by many as the best in the series.
