Capcom Producer Yoshinori Ono Talks Deep Down

Back in 2013, Capcom announced a new RPG with the working title of Deep Down. Though the title has never released Capcom have held onto the trademark leaving many with plenty of questions. Now, in a recent interview with Eurogamer, Producer Yoshinori Ono talked about the MIA title.

Though Yoshinori Ono was mainly being interviewed about the future of Street Fighter 5, the subject of Deep Down popped up. When asked what happened to the RPG Yoshinori Ono answered: "The original team is clearly no longer together at this point, but people might have noticed that we’ve kept the trademark registered, and it’s not been completely given up on.”.

“Every year we examine titles we’re doing in future, and we bring up projects to approve and move forward. There’s not much I can say about it, but if you’ve noticed we’ve kept the trademark it means we haven’t given up on the title completely.” Yoshinori Ono continued.

Since it's reveal in 2013 only two teaser trailers have been released for Deep Down, and you can watch the first one above. Though it is most likely the title will never release it is good to know that Capcom still has some interest in it.
