Cattle Country Receives a Major Content Update with New Trailer

Developer Castle Pixel, LLC. and publisher Playtonic Friends have shared a brand-new trailer for their cosy game, Cattle Country. This video shows off the new free update, called Family Life, inviting players to experience a new stage in the life cosy country-side life.

Cattle Country has been receiving a robust set of updates ever since its launch on the 27th of May 2025. The team has been listening closely to player feedback, and on the 1st of September 2025, there was a vote to see which the next major content update would become.

With Family Life update taking the democratic vote, Cattle Country received the new update featuring all sorts of content to do with your spouse... and even more members to your family! Here's what you need to know about the Family Life update:

• Find the special one and marry them.
• Have or adopt a child to add to your family.
• Each family member has their own routines and behaviours within your home — you can join them and spend more time with them through their preferred activity.
• Ask for help around the farm, including picking crops, gathering up to 20 items throughout the day, or relax around the farm and do their own thing.

The Family Life Update trailer also shows off the newly added Halloween and fall updates, bringing festive decorations and themed cosmetics, the Spooky Maze, and pumpkin carving as part of the in-game celebration. But it's not just what the trailer has showcased that has been added to the game.

Also part of the Family Life update, Cattle Country has introduced further comfort and customisation updates. Here's what you need to know about this:

• Sit anywhere you want by pulling a chair or relaxing on the couch,
• New starting farm layouts to choose from, with Islands, Hills, River, or Mountain as options.
• Smarter crafting and cooking system that uses items inside chests.
• Update your coop, barn, and shed with new looks and even bigger capacities.
