Celebrate Helldivers' Two-Year Anniversary
As we all know, democracy is life itself. Today, the 3rd of March of 2017, marks the two-year anniversary of the pinnacle of democracy, Helldivers. And Arrowhead Game Studios is celebrating freedom with a free, brand new outfit for all the fighting citizens of Super Earth.
Helldivers is a cooperative top-down shooter that sees players dropping into planets across the galaxy from battleships in orbit. Once in the surface, players can call in tactical assets like weapons, vehicles, and air support to be delivered from orbit, and must work together to defeat the enemies of mankind, protect Super Earth in an intense intergalactic war, and dole out a healthy dose of Liber-tea.
Helldivers was released on the 3rd of March, 2015 for PS3, PS4 and PSVita, and came to the PC screens via Steam on the 7th of December of the same year. Every year on the 26th of October, the whole world flares up in celebration of Liberty Day. Look forward to GameGrin's coverage of that historical anniversary.

The name is quite literal. You drop from orbit at supersonic speeds straight into the middle of a battlefield, shots flying in all directions. Often you land on top of people, and there's a good chance you will kill some of your squadmates, they will kill you, they will kill each other, or you will all get overwhelmed by aliens. If war is hell, then you're a Helldiver.
