CODE VEIN II Releases Character Creator Demo Ahead of Launch This Week with New Trailer

Bandai Namco's follow-up to the 2019 anime soulslike is arriving this week, as CODE VEIN II eyes a 29th of January 2026 release date. With just a few days remaining, the team has released a new demo for players to check out, though it won't offer gameplay elements in the traditional sense.

Available on all of the major storefronts that the game is coming out on, CODE VEIN II has received a brand-new demo where players can begin their character creation. With some titles offering such complex character creation options, it can sometimes take hours to create the perfect character.

To remedy this, players are able to create their Revenant Hunters ahead of time, choosing from thousands of options and creating the perfect character. This is also available for those who haven't pre-ordered the game, too, as it's a free demo for everyone in the storefronts, meaning you don't have to fork over any money to give it a shot.

Once you've created the perfect character, you'll be able to trial them out in a small playable world that'll let you see how your creation looks before you fully commit. After you've completed and verified your character, the Revenant Hunter will be transferable to the full release if you choose to pick it up and continue with it.

The trailer shows a wide array of characters that players will be able to create, showcasing just how wide the character creation gets in CODE VEIN II. So for those who are looking to get the perfect character, this is the opportunity to spend countless hours without missing out on the launch hype.

Check out the demo on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam. CODE VEIN II launches on the 29th of January.
