Creepy-cute Desktop Idle Petunia's Purgatory Has a Release Date!

Dead Possum Games and Level Up Gaming have announced the release date for their upcoming creepy-cute desktop idle title, Petunia's Purgatory! This companion lies at the bottom of the player's screens as they go about their day, and they will need to make sure to keep Petunia's sanity in check lest it goes out of hand.

Unlike usual farms, this one will have dozens of twisted and unsettling crops to grow. They work well as an offering to the Elder god living in the barn, whose voracious hunger will cause issues if it's not satiated... such as hurting Petunia's sanity.

To keep her healthy, players can decorate the farm and plant flowers. If they fail to keep her mentally well, she will begin to hallucinate; if they are ignored for too long, they will spill out from the game and onto the screen.

Helpers can be summoned to lighten the burden, and the god can also be satiated by the sacrifice of the mutated animals that wander into the farm. With enough ingredients, players can also prepare offerings — full, worthy feasts!

Not to worry, however: the game is still primed to be idle-friendly. The addition of the Lovecraftian god is meant to work as another layer! If you'd like to try it out yourself, there's a demo available on Steam.
