Crema Releases Extended Announcement Trailer for Temtem: Pioneers
The Temtem universe is coming back online after Crema successfully finished the Early Access period for Temtem: Swarm, the spin-off version of the original MMO title inspired by Pokémon. The multiplayer-focused creature-collecting adventure had players explore a brand-new world, reminiscent of the Pokémon titles of old.
It has become an established franchise and competitor, as though it didn't quite reach the heights of Palworld, it managed to become a fan-favourite with its higher focus on 3D, multiplayer elements, and understanding the formula as a whole. However, with Temtem now cancelled for future updates and content and Temtem: Swarm a completed experience, Crema shifted their focus towards a brand-new experience.
Originally teased as Temtem: Project Downbelow, we got a look at an upcoming Kickstarter campaign that players would be able to support. It was launched on the 9th of April, and had until the 9th of May to complete the pledge goal of $105,506.

Temtem: Pioneers is a Palworld-like take on the creature collector, where players will explore an ancient version, set before the time of Digital Temtem. It's a natural, beautiful open-world experience, where players will enjoy survival-crafting elements, alongside fighting as the Temtem themselves, rather than just a turn-based experience.
It's been received with overwhelming support, as just eight hours later, the title managed to hit its pledge goal, and — at the time of writing — four other stretch goals have been reached, with $381,734 raised total and 12 days to go on the campaign. It's safe to say that Temtem: Pioneers is set to become a success (albeit its 2029 release date will be painful for many to endure).
Now, the title has been officially announced with an extended trailer, showcasing various gameplay elements, new Temtem, combat, and plenty more. It's a great look at the work-in-progress experience and how Crema hopes to evolve the Temtem franchise, creature-collecting genre, and the survival crafting fusion as a whole.

Check out the trailer above, and if you're interested in backing the project, you can do so until the 9th of May 2026. You can learn more about the FAQ and the title in our article right here!
