Dark Souls: Remastered For Switch Finally Has A Release Date

Dark Souls: Remastered For Switch Finally Has A Release Date

It's been 7 months since the announcement of Dark Souls: Remaster was made and the surprising news of it coming to the Nintendo Switch. Now, after being delayed fans can rejoice as the new release date has finally been revealed.

Japan will be getting the release first on 18th October, with the western release coming only a day later on 19th October. This news also means that the Solaire of Astora Amiibo will be releasing at the same time.

Worth noting is that the title will run at a resolution of 1080p when docked, and 720p when in handheld mode with both modes running at 30FPS. The online dedicated servers will support up to six players with all DLC included from the start. Compared to the PlayStation 3 release, which ran at 720p, 30FPS and supported only four players on peer-to-peer, the Switch release is a major improvement.

Dark Souls: Remastered is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC with the Switch version releasing 19th October.
