Destroy All Humans! Releases a Tongue-in-Cheek "Dependence Day" Trailer

It's the fourth of July, Independence Day for America. In honour of the great American holiday, Black Forest Games has released a trailer for its upcoming remake of Destroy All Humans! inspired by a certain thematically relevant film Will Smith film. Check out the trailer above, and revel in the sights and sounds of a silly, 50s era Hollywood alien invasion fully realised on current-gen hardware.

Destroy All Humans! doesn't ask anyone to take it too seriously. Letting players loose in various open world US locales as Crypto, a Jack Nicholson-esque alien invader with nothing but rage in his heart(s?), players will unleash a varied and sometimes impractical arsenal of weapons on the unsuspecting American public. Disintegration Rays, Abducto Beams, all manner of telekinetic powers and... erm, Anal Probes make up some of the tools in Crypto's arsenal. To show off the irreverent offering, Black Forest Games is releasing a weekly video showcasing a new in-game weapon. Check out the first, focused on the Disintegration Ray and its devastating effects on the inhabitants of Earth.
