Following the re-releases of the original Devil May Cry and Devil May Cry 2 on Nintendo Switch earlier this year, fan favourite instalment Devil May Cry 3 is also coming to the platform early next year.
Devil May Cry 3 acts as a prequel to the series, with players controlling a younger, brasher and less experienced Dante, following his rivalry with his older and more collected brother Vergil. This entry included several series staples that would continue into future instalments, such as an even bigger focus on eccentric over-the-top combos, and the Style system which allows players to change certain attributes for Dante like the more defensive Royalguard, and the projectile focussed Gunslinger.
This re-release of Devil May Cry 3 is a port of the Special Edition. This version of the game includes some substantial additional content, with the most notable being a playable Vergil, and the Bloody Palace mode which allows players to fight 9999 waves of enemies with a gradually increasing difficulty.
Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition will be available on Nintendo Switch on 20th February, 2020 for $19.99/£15.99.
