Disney Dreamlight Valley's Next Big Update is Coming! Learn All About It!

Disney Dreamlight Valley has had a busy last few months, and it won't be stopping yet, as the next free content update is just around the corner. Named The Winter Ball, players already know they can expect one of the most iconic princesses to arrive at the Valley — Cinderella! But what else is there?

First, they'll have to team up with the Fairy Godmother to help Cinderella escape from the magical pumpkin enchantment. This had been placed on her to save her from The Forgetting, but it's time she joins everyone else! As always, this means players will get a few Friendship Quests and rewards from her, and this includes a Valley-wide ball.

She's not coming alone, either, as she brings a new Mega Bundle alongside. It will include a Dream Style for her and another one for the Fairy Godmother, some furniture based on her movie, and some festive items inspired by Frozen.

 

The new Star Path is also on its way, and it's chock-full of holiday-themed rewards. Some of the tasks will require players to head over to the Frosted Heights and do things like take selfies with a snowman and collect snow! Christmas-themed furniture, classic winter fashion, and a Festive Baby Pegasus are some of the unlockables.

The DreamTeams feature will also release with the new update. For those who don't know, this new mechanic allows players to create or join a community of up to seven others. The motif, name, and motto can all be customised, a bit like a guild.

Once part of it, members can request items and trade with each other. There are also some social features, such as sharing in-game pictures and reacting to others'!

There are two limited-time events that offer exclusive rewards: the Gift of Giving and the Winter Floating Festival. The former, which begins on the 7th of December and ends on the 28th, will challenge players with weekly puzzles that unlock festive rewards.

 

The Winter Floating Festival, which starts on the 17th of December and ends on the 31st, offers the ability to complete the previous years' achievements to unlock the rewards, plus brand-new ones, too!

Make sure to log in on the 25th of December, as there will be a surprise that can be claimed. If you miss it, it will still be available until the 31st!

Last but absolutely not least, there have been a handful of quality-of-life updates added:

• Photo mode got a new toggle, which lets players choose any unlocked Valley character to take a selfie with.
• Players can now sell items back in Scrooge's Shop for the original Star Coin price.
• A search feature, as well as sorting and filtering options, will be available in Scrooge's Shop, too!
