Disney Infinity Quietly Release Gold Editions

Disney have quietly released Gold Editions of their now-discontinued Disney Infinity 1.0 titles, on PC. The series was announced to be getting discontinued earlier this year, but that apparently hasn't stopped them from making one final gesture.

You can pick up 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 for £22.99 each, or £44.99 for the complete set, on Steam. Each set comes with all of the levels and characters unlocked, meaning you no longer need to get the figures or level packs for the codes.

Disney Interactive haven't put out a press release about the move, so we don't know the official reason that they would re-release a game series that no longer has online functionality (therefore negating the 'infinity' portion of the title). You can still play all of the levels with all of the characters, but you can't play any player-made levels that you haven't designed yourself.
