DOOM getting 4K patches for Xbox One X and PS4 Pro

Owners of DOOM for Xbox One X and PS4 Pro are getting the 4K treatment with the arrival of an update that offers a resolution boost to 4K.

As previously announced back at E3 2017, Bethesda said DOOM would be getting the “Xbox One X Enhanced” treatment. So for eager Xbox One X demon slayers, this was exciting news, but now it’s even better with PS4 Pro getting the same enhancement.

Although we have been provided with the specifics on the actual resolutions, we do suspect that both versions will render at 4K, but whether that’s consistently is left to be seen, now doubt Digital Foundry will perform their rigorous test upon arrival.

What we do know is that currently, DOOM on both consoles uses dynamic resolution scaling to deliver it’s rocksteady 60 FPS. So in order to keep those frames high, we’d expect the same with this new update.
