Dorfromantik Announces Anniversary Plans!

Dorfromantik has been around for five years now! This cosy building puzzle strategy title received an 80 on Metacritic and an Overwhelmingly Positive score on Steam. Now, players can look forward to new content as a celebration!

Developer and publisher Toukana Interactive made a Steam post about the game's new five-year anniversary and what players can expect as a celebration. First, let's talk about the free content!

Dorfromantik is getting a free update that will add a Night Mode and integrated leaderboards. The former is a toggleable option that will change the in-game time to night, offering a gentler palette for the eyes and adding to the cosiness.

The second part of the free update is the ability to open leaderboards from within the game, nixing the need to go to Steam to check. This will include the Top 10 and the player's rank (including who is above and below them). There will be a filter option to compare against friends or the world's best!

For those who would like to further support the game — or just want a new DLC — a new biome pack is in development! 0This will bring a coat of mediaeval to the game, such as steamboats turning into medieval sailing ships and the village wells getting a small roof and bucket winch. This is a purely cosmetic DLC that just changes the visuals to a different time period.
