DreadXP's RUNT Has a Demo; Watch the Trailer!

Developed by Grimtaste Studios and published by DreadXP, RUNT is an upcoming gothic visual novel where players will embody the youngest of five brothers. The setting is a grim and monstrous apocalypse, and the protagonist is a 19-year-old son of a dead cult leader who called himself the Mouth of God.

It's the fifth anniversary of their dad's death, and Runt — the player — happens upon a horrific message written in blood on their boarded-up church pulpit: five days. The boy needs to investigate the eerie omen, and this opens up the narrative-driven game with branching storylines.

By talking to townspeople and interrogating the protagonist's brothers, players will slowly gather clues about the omen. Everything from the order of the conversations to the questions will make a difference at the very end!

The story lasts five in-game days, and in the last one, after choosing who the player thinks is guilty, one of the over 12 endings will be revealed! Here's what RUNT offers:
