E3 2014: Fable Legends Multiplayer Beta Announced

Lionhead announced today at Microsoft’s E3 press conference that Fable Legends will be launching a multiplayer beta this autumn.

This asymmetric multiplayer title pits four heroes against a single villain, all player-controlled. We were treated to some behind-the-back gameplay of the heroes fighting against hordes of minions while wielding some impressive-looking powers. There are four classes available to the heroes which specialise in Will, Strength and Skill, with one appearing to be a generalist. As the villain, the player takes on an RTS-like role and designs the levels to try and stop the heroes.

In addition to the gameplay, we were given a trailer that showed off some the environments we’ll see in the upcoming spin-off.
