E3 2015 - Star Fox: Zero Announced
Nintendo kicked off their pre-E3 conference with a blast from the past--a new Star Fox game, Star Fox: Zero.
Opening with the obligatory "do a barrel roll!" joke, Nintendo showed off some of the new gameplay before launching into an origin story of the franchise that revealed more details. Somewhere between a sequel and a reboot, Star Fox: Zero incorporates new elements like dual screens for the Wii U to allow players to see their ship in third person on the TV, and simultaneously fire in first person using the Wii U controller's screen.
Zero also adds in the ability to transform your ship into a 'walker'--something that was originally planned for Star Fox 2, which was cancelled despite being completed.
Star Fox: Zero is due out this holiday season for the Wii U.
