Elite Dangerous Welcomes Fleet Carriers in its Latest Free Update

After two beta periods, Frontier Developments has released the Fleet Carrier update for its massively multiplayer space-sim, Elite Dangerous. Out now completely free for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, the update offers a "new platform for deep-space exploration and long-range travel". Check out the launch trailer above.

Complete with every amenity a space-faring traveller could need, fleet carriers are the perfect 'home away from home' for a captain and crew. In addition, players can customise their fleet carrier's look and function to fit their playstyle with a variety of modules. With 16 landing pads, fleet carriers can transport an entire squadron of fighter ships, traders or even criminal vessels.

The Fleet Carrier update is out now for Elite Dangerous on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
