Enshrouded Wake of the Water Update Highlights

Keen Games GmbH has truly set itself apart with its Early Access title, Enshrouded, launched in January of last year. The highly successful title quickly set itself apart in 2024 with its impressive, continuously-climbing concurrent player peak, and even daily, thousands of players join Embervale and fight against the Shroud to liberate it!

It's been two years of Early Access development, and Keen Games isn't slowing down on the support; in fact, one of the biggest, most ambitious updates has dropped: Wake of the Water. This update introduces a lot of content, including a new area, new enemies, new systems, and so much more.

Here's everything you need to know about the Enshrouded Wake of the Water update:

• Veilwater Basin, a late-game area with several biomes.
• New underwater, abandoned temples full of loot.
• A new type of foe named the Dra, a reptilian species.
• New building blocks, terrain types, and area-appropriate furniture to build your town and decorate to your heart's content.
• New fully simulated water with various ways to engage with it: water wheels, draining water, siphon or fill up lakes, and more.
• The watering can has been updated to add fan-requested features: give information about each plant and set a maximum growth state (including trees!).
• Water-barrier walls that let you create a full underwater Atlantis.
• Balance Updates.
• New weapon: the Greatsword, bringing in a spin-to-win attack.
• Several new skills have been added, including various underwater-focused ones to help you manoeuvre and survive the new environment better.
• Level cap increased from 35 to 45.
• Weapon level increases from 45 to 50.
• Many quality-of-life improvements, many of which include server changes, more robust keybinding flexibility, and updated chest respawns, so it can no longer be cheesed.
• Fishing! Because of course, we needed fishing.
