Evo 2020's Surprising Lineup Has Been Revealed

The nine games that will be appearing at the world’s biggest fighting game tournament Evo 2020 have been revealed, and they include:

• Super Smash Brothers Ultimate
• Dragon Ball FighterZ
• Tekken 7
• Marvel vs. Capcom 2
• Street Fighter V
• SOULCALIBUR VI
• Granblue Fantasy: Versus
• Samurai Shodown

This lineup has two major shockers: the omission of Mortal Kombat 11 which appeared at Evo 2019, and the return of the classic fighter Marvel vs. Capcom 2, which last saw play at Evo all the way back in 2010.

While it’s entirely possible that Mortal Kombat 11 was excluded on the basis that it will probably have its own dedicated tournament sometime in the year, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is more of an enigma. Could Capcom be planning to have another crack at the franchise after Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite was met with a middling reception from fans and critics alike?

Evo 2020 is set to run from 31st July - 2nd August.
