Exit the Gungeon Released on Switch and PC

The former Apple Arcade exclusive, Exit the Gungeon, saw a surprise release for Switch and PC (via Steam) on 17th March following Nintendo's 'Indie World' stream.

Taking place immediately after the events of its predecessor, Enter the Gungeon, this "bullet hell dungeon climber" sequel sees the original's cast of characters ascending in a series of enemy-filled elevators to escape from the titular Gungeon.

Despite the change in perspective from top-down to 2D, the same style of zany weapons, irreverent characters and hard-as-nails bosses will mean players who enjoyed entering the Gungeon will surely have a blast exiting it too. Just like in the original, the Gungeon is an ever-changing beast: its rooms, guns and enemy offerings will change every time you press 'start game'.

The game has been overhauled from its original Apple Arcade release: a slew of additions, tweaks and improvements make this more than a mere mobile port.

Exit the Gungeon is avaiable on Switch and PC via Steam now. Take a look at the trailer above.
