Explorers Wanted: Mass Effect Andromeda Voice Acting Competition Launched

Bioware have launched a voice acting competition that will see the winners earn a spot in Mass Effect Andromeda's cast. The blog post, Explorers Wanted, offers two spoiler-free script samples for you to try, if you fancy running into yourself while exploring the galaxy.

According to the blog post, you can record your take on the lines and email them to explorers@bioware.com to be considered. That said, the entry deadline is 28th September 2016 at 6:59 AM GMT. So don't wait until 7:00 AM on that date. That would be unfortunate.

The two scripts you can take a shot at can be found here and here. Whether or not you're going to enter the Explorers Wanted Contest, the scripts are worth a look, as they offer some interesting narrative hints.

Are the scripts intended to be read by a particular gender?

No. Both scripts are gender-neutral and can be read by anyone, regardless of gender.

 

Do I need to read the lines of the other character in the script? How about the directions? Should I have someone else read the lines of the other character?

No. All you need to read are the lines of Jordan Tate and/or the Tough Mercenary.

 

Can I include music or sound effects in my recording?

No. We need to hear your voice clearly, so entries with music or sound effects will be rejected.
