F1 2017 to Feature Iconic Cars

Developer Codemasters and Koch Media have announced that F1 2017, the official game of the Formula One World Championship, will release on 25th August on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. 

The game, which will feature what Codemasters state are an even deeper career campaign, numerous multiplayer enhancements, and a brand new ‘Championships’ game mode, will also mark the return of classic F1 cars.

“For the first time ever F1 2017 fully integrates the classic experience into the main career mode. As part of your career you will be invited to race in modern day, invitational events in the different classic F1 cars throughout the season. We’re also adding to the variety in F1 2017 with the inclusion of four alternative circuit layouts." said Lee Mather, Creative Director at Codemasters.

Leading into the weekend of the most iconic and history-filled grand-prix, Monaco, the trailer above shows off the cars that will feature in F1 2017, including the 1988 McLaren MP4/4 as driven by title rivals Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna, Nigel Mansell's 1992 Williams FW14B  and the 2002 Ferrari F2002 of seven-times world champion, Michael Schumacher.

Codemasters confirmed more legendary F1 cars would be announced leading to the game's release. 

The 2017 marks the most dramatic aesthetic changes to F1 cars in recent years, with F1 2017 looking to replicate the excitement on-track with equally gripping gameplay.
