Final Fantasy VII Remake Delayed by a Short While

The hotly anticipated first part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake was originally set to launch on 3rd March, however Square Enix has announced that the game has been pushed back slightly.

We know that so many of you are looking forward to the release of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE and have been waiting patiently to experience what we have been working on. In order to ensure we deliver a game that is in-line with our vision, and the quality that our fans who have been waiting for deserve, we have decided to move the release date to April 10, 2020.

- Yoshinori Kitase, Producer, Square Enix

Kitase continues to apologise, stating that the decision is “in order to give ourselves a few extra weeks to apply final polish to the game and to deliver you with the best possible experience.”

Thankfully, the delay is only by around a month, so eager fans won’t have to wait too much longer for the release. With Final Fantasy VII Remake now launching in between the remake of Resident Evil 3 (2020) and CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077, April is looking to be a packed month for big releases.
