Firefly Online If I Were a Captain Trailer

Soon the world of videogames will be shiny as tian xiao de how many people have waited to see their favourite sci-fi series resurrected in ANY shape or form. So xièxie, Spark Plug Games, for bringing Firefly Online to us.

Command your own ship & crew and take it on a trip around the 'Verse as you look for work to keep them in fresh apples  - or at least nutrient paste they can shape into a cake. It is being called a strategic RPG and you will be playing alongside everyone else - though the economy hasn't yet been mentioned so we don't know if it will be like EVE Online. Hopefully there will be the capacity to be big damn heroes.

The original crew of the Serenity will be back to voice their roles, though in what aspect we don't yet know. Presumably as NPC's, or perhaps just in the tutorial.

The response to the announcement has resulted in the official website - http://www.keepflying.com - being suspended by their ISP because the weight of traffic literally took them down. They assure us that the site will be with another ISP soon, so you can sign up for news - or keep an eye on GameGrin to be told more when it's available.

There is no launch date yet, but it will be coming out on Windows, Mac, Android and iOS.

When it comes out, the more people who get it - the more likely it is we'll have some more Firefly-related goodness in the world. Dǒng ma?
