First Gameplay Trailer of Call of Cthulhu Unveiled

With two years worth of development coming to a close, Cthulhu's call is getting ever more audible for Cyanide. The Focus-published Call of Cthulhu, based on HP Lovecraft's classic short story of the same name, was revealed in greater depth at gamescom today. A full gameplay trailer showed an early mission of the game, which is looking just as brooding and oiminous as you might expect given the subject matter.

Call of Cthulhu brings you up close and personal with Lovecraftian Old Gods and other cosmic horrors. Playing as PI Edward Pierce, you'll be delving into the circumstances behind the tragic deaths of the Hawkins family. With both assistance and interference from the mysterious locals of Darkwater Island, your journey will see you treading that fine line between sanity and its opposite as the hunt for truth brings Pierce ever closer to the Great Dreamer themself.
