Fishing Finally Comes To Guild Wars 2

Guild Wars End of Dragons is due in February next year and we are slowly finding out more of what is to come as we prepare to revisit Cantha. Two of the big new additions are fishing and your personal skiff.

Your skiff will act as a mobile home and carry your friends with you around the many waterways of Cantha. It'll also double up as somewhere you can always fish from, perfect for when you want to chill. Fishing will also make its long-awaited debut, allowing many types of fish to be caught and with it, a whole slew of new cooking recipes.

As well as this new trailer, ArenaNet also shared dates for their upcoming technical betas for a planned upgrade to DirectX11 and World vs. World server changes.

Players will be able to opt-in to the DirectX 11 testing on the 21st September with the World vs. World infrastructure testing kicking into a week long test in late September.
