Forever Skies Launches Major Update, Echoes Part 1 on PlayStation 5 and PC
Far From Home have announced a major update for Forever Skies and a trailer showing off new features available now.
The first in three updates scheduled for the game, titled Echoes Part 1 was developed to respond to community feedback, focussing on the expansion of world diversity and tweaks to gameplay mechanics.
From the initial launch out of Early Access in April this year, general feedback from players revolved around the repetitive environments, gameplay systems and lack of depth from their playthroughs.
Far From Home CEO, Andrzej Blumenfeld remarked the feedback for Forever Skies had been consistently positive, but the game has elements that required more attention and could be improved upon.
“It’s never easy to hear that something you’ve worked on for so long didn’t meet someone’s expectations, so we took that feedback to heart,” he said.
“Our intention was never to walk away from Forever Skies, so we were certainly not going to call this 'good enough' and just move on.
“With Echoes Part 1 and the promise to deliver more, hopefully, it shows how much we listen to our community.”
Echoes Part 1 will add much needed changes, mainly in Biome 1, with the second update towards Biome 2 set to be released December this year, and the final slated for spring 2026 for Biome 3 as well as other changes to the game.
Features in the Echoes Part 1 Update includes:
- 10 new side quests which explores the tales of the world’s past inhabitants
- An overhauled location diversity system which enriches environmental variety
- An extractor upgrade system
- Six unique landmarks to discover and explore on your journey.
- Eight new airship interior items to discover to customize your vessel
- A new advanced reporting tool for player feedback

Celebrating the launch of Echoes Part 1, Forever Skies is available now at a 45% discount on Steam, and a 30% discount on PlayStation.
