Fortnite goes down, Epic apologises with gifts

After a day of downtime, Epic Games' mega-popular Fortnite is back up online after having to take down the servers to deploy major upgrades to its database systems. Of course, we can only expect that this caused panic among the community with Epic keeping players across all platforms updated via its social pages.

Now with the servers back online, Epic Games have known many players out there would be suffering from withdrawal, so to get spirits back up, it’s giving players some gifts as a patient thank you. For Battle Royale players will be able to pick up a free Back Bling gift and Save the World players will get a Troll Stash Llama for free. Both are available from the in-game store.

Furthermore, the goodies don’t end there, as Epic needs a bit more downtime next week, so as another thank you, Battle Royale players will get a pack of Battle Stars and Save the World players get some Seasonal Gold. Isn’t that nice of them.

Those keener into knowing what went, the team will be releasing a full post-mortem next week.
