Epic Game's latest title Fortnite might still be in early access but the new 100 player battle royale mode, clearly inspired by PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, will be a standalone title.
Releasing for free for everyone on the 26th September, the game mode will make use of Fortnite's building gameplay and let 100 players fight to the death on a large map. The developers have said that the new mode will not include any items for purchase that will give a competitive advantage but will introduce cosmetics and compendium-like content in the future. Squads will also be coming to Fortnite Battle Royale on the 26th September as well.
Fortnite is available right now in an early access, buy in state, but will release for free sometime in late 2018.
