Free-to-play Team Shooter Caliber Releases Version 1.0
Developer 1C Game Studios and publisher FOR-GAMES CR LTD have officially released the Version 1.0 update for Caliber. The free-to-play team-based shooter has received a slew of updates, including a few additions that you can take advantage of right away.
Version 1.0 comes with a slew of changes, with some of the bigger ones being the Turkish operator collection PÖH (short for Polis Özel Harekât). The PÖH Collection includes four new operators who are joining the field:
- Yusuf "Saif" Ozdemir
- Serkan "Aslan" Kiliç
- Recep "Sungur" Yilmaz
- Fatih "Tirkesh" Avci
This comes with the release of the Battle Pass "Great Conquests", which began on the 12th of December 2024 and continues until the 29th of January 2025, giving you seven weeks to complete the 30 steps. The Operators included in the pass will become available for purchase with Coins six months after the end of the Battle Pass, and according to the official site, they may appear in the operator rotation for purchase with Credits "after some more time". You can learn more about the operators and the Battle Pass here.
Also new with the update are a slew of changes. New weapon customisation has arrived alongside free Weapon Containers for players after certain level milestones, among a slew of other changes that you'll find with Version 1.0.
- Free weapon crates are available when reaching Account levels 13, 25, 51, and 98. Players who already reached these levels will receive the containers upon release.
- The new Gift Hunt New Year event has arrived with a dedicated game mode by the same name.
- The New Year Showcase has arrived.
- A new PvE mission has been added to the Depot map.
- Detailed player statistics for each of the operators.
These are some of the major changes, but players can also partake in the new Twitch Drops season named Frosty Freshness, and there has been an improvement to the referral program. You can learn all about it in the official Steam patch notes to find all of the fixes to bugs and minor changes that have been made.
