Frogwares Releases Statement Reminding Fans of What to Expect When Sherlock Holmes Chapter One Comes Out

The team behind Sherlock Holmes Chapter One released a statement to remind fans what to expect of the game once it comes out.

As the release of the game nears, the excitement of many fans (including myself) continues to rise, especially with the latest video released on the Frogwares channel that offers a behind-the-scenes look to the game's development.

However, the team want to remind the fans of what to expect from the title, stating that they understand the demand for a technically-flawless game, reminding players that they are only a small team that wish to prioritize what matters the most: An emotional experience.

"It’s with this mindset and understanding that allowed us to make the game with no crunch. And why we’re able to publish it all on our own after 20 years of being forced to always sign away part of our creations. It’s also why we priced the game at 45 USD and not 70 USD."

It's great to hear that the game will be released without having to crunch, and the pricing is definitely welcomed with open arms. Although, it does spark worry as to how technically-advanced the game might be, it is important to remember that Frogwares is a small team, and will be doing its best to release a well-rounded experience.

The team goes on to explain, however, that this is still their biggest project in terms of size, gameplay time, new systems, open-world design, and story, and that they are proud of what has been made, showing hope that the players will, too.

Only time will tell the fate of Sherlock Holmes Chapter One, with its upcoming release on the 16th of November for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam, Epic, and GOG, with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions to come out at a later date.
