Seven years ago, Mode 7 Games burst onto the scene with their strategy title Frozen Synapse. The game has since sold somewhere in the region of a million copies, with critics and gamers alike praising the game's unique approach to the turn-based tactical genre. After years of work polishing and perfecting the game's sequel, Frozen Synapse 2 is finally here, and we were treated to one of the first looks at the game's launch trailer.
Lead Designer Ian Hardingham said:
"Frozen Synapse 2 is the culmination of my professional life as a game designer, and the best game I've ever made by far. I hope players find the city a deeply rewarding playground that they can approach from any angle, and I hope they enjoy interacting with our perceptive and often-a-little-unhinged AI faction leaders who give the city so much of its atmosphere.
On the multiplayer side, One Turns are my love for the game of Bridge, and my meta-scoring geekdom, taken as far as I can sanely go."
What's more, the GrinCast spoke to Mode 7 co-founder Paul Kilduff-Taylor this week, which you can listen to here.
