Galactic Mining Corp Rocking Onto Steam in May

Awooga! This is not a drill, a follow up to Geo is being released! You'd be forgiven for not being familiar with Geo, the second title to be released by Windybeard Games. The company was relatively new at that point, and it has gone down as something of a cult classic. But with a few more games under its belt now, Windybeard is returning to the genre with spiritual successor Galactic Mining Corp on the 18th of May.

Whilst not an exact sequel, the roots of Galactic Mining Corp are very clearly embedded in that earlier title. With over 70 crew members to hire, hundreds of drills to upgrade and fully hand-drawn art, it's the most fun that you can have whilst digging into a planet. The game will be exclusive to Windows PCs on Steam at launch, with a percentage of all sales going to the gaming charity Gamers for Good. Check out the trailer above for all the details you need.

GEO was one of my favourite Indy games of all time, this is the best news of the year so far!
