Game Tycoon 2 Leaves Early Access

After a successful release on Steam’s Early Access programme, German indie developers Sunlight Games have seen their simulator game, Game Tycoon 2, released as a full product. The game is available now on Steam for the price of £6.99 featuring a raft of improvements made based on user feedback.

“On behalf of the developer, Sunlight Games GmbH, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Early Access community for the help, support and dedication. Without them, we would not have been able to deliver this brilliant game”, commented Darryl Still, Managing Director at Kiss Ltd. "Game Tycoon 2 is the 6th Early Access game in 8 months we have brought through to a full release. We have plans for even more of our Early Access games to move to a full release later in 2016"

The title sees you assume the role of an indie game developer, fighting it out with the bigger studios for a stake in the hearts and minds of the games playing public. The game uses technologies and industry trends from 1980 right up until today and beyond, with future trends predicted.

To do well, you’ll need to be nimble and adaptable. You won’t have the big budgets of the AAA publisher so you’ll need to keep a keen eye on what people what and exploit those niches. Playing as one of three developers, you’ll be trying to make it in the cutthroat world of game design that Sunlight have experienced first hand with the creation of this very game.
